Bring What You Got Put it in the Pot!

Stone soup is a classic folk story that teaches the value of cooperation and generosity. In the story, a hungry traveler arrives at a village, and seeing that everyone is hesitant to share their food, he cleverly boils a simple stone in a pot of water, claiming it’s a delicious stone soup. Curious villagers contribute ingredients to enhance the soup, and together, they create a hearty meal. The story highlights how individual contributions, no matter how small, can come together to benefit the whole community. It’s a wonderful way to illustrate the importance of teamwork, sharing, and the idea that everyone’s participation can make something special.

The children in Room 3 all brought an ingredient and saw the bounty grow on our stone soup. We enjoyed eating it all up these past 2 days. A huge thank you to all the parents that came in to help the children cut veggies and make the soup.
