FUN RUN

ONE FOE THE MONEY, TWO FOR THE SHOW, THREE TO GET READY and FOUR TO “GO!” “Oh, Yes!” The weather was great, the kids were excited and ready to have fun all together as a big school.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.

HEALTHY TEETH

How do we keep our teeth healthy?

These is what the children said:

Miriam: “You go to the dentist.” Emma: “You brush your teeth.” Christian: “You put toothpaste on your toothbrush, you don’t eat.” Michael: “Eat good food.” Isaiah: “You eat rice.” Justice: “You brush the top and the bottom teeth.” Lucy: “You don’t eat ice cream and candy.” Dustee: “The dentist will look inside your mouth.” Austin: “You eat chicken.”

Green Eggs and Ham!

This week we have been celebrating the beloved children’s book author and illustrator Dr. Seuss. This lovely caught moment of our awesome, creative outdoors teacher Ms. Gwendolyn enjoying Room 2’s green eggs and ham. 🙂 don’t we just love our playful teachers at PCS for their spirit of fun and enthusiasm, and you gotta love her mixed match socks as well! -Mrs. Monica

Promoting a sense of self through art.

The students from Room 1 are beginning to learn who they are and form a sense of identity. We also talked about how we like to spend our time playing, sports and books we like etc. We then spent a few minutes looking at our facial characteristics. How we look and how uniquely each one of us was made in Gods image. We also looked at a few “self portraits” of famous artists. I explained the definition of “self portrait”. They each then held a mirror and looked at themselves closely. Looked at color of eyes, mouth and nose shape etc. They then painted a self portrait. Enjoy! – Ms. Monica
