Fall is Here!

Fall is my personal favorite season, and because I’m bias, we tend to do various seasonally-based art projects during this season. We  learn all about the different leaves and we investigate the process of the change of colors of the leaves. We also talk about how it gets darker earlier in the day, how it begins to get a little chillier, etc. For this seasonal project, the children painted a beautiful fall tree painting using water colors. Others painted a pile of leaves…

Shine with the Light of Jesus

The month of October has come to an end and we in Class 4 did so many fun things with apples, pumpkins and many other fall items.

Cooking pumpkin power balls and pumpkin delight dessert while learning math and science at the same time was as sight to see and enjoy. Discovering and exploring different kinds of fall items was fun and messy! Reading different books and exposing children to new language and information was educational; among the books we read were “The Pumpkin Parable,” “The Biggest Pumpkin Ever,” “Pumpkin Patch Blessing,” and “Too Many Pumpkins.” We painted with Indian corn with fall colors and enjoyed our mini pumpkin patch! 😊We finished with a bag…YES, we were part of The Great California Shake Out.🤗 We practiced in class then we did the big practice by joining the big school.

November 2017 Preschool News and Calendar of Events

We are officially heading into HOLIDAY MODE! While the children have started practicing their Christmas songs for our Grandparents’ Day and Happy Birthday Jesus celebrations, I suppose we can’t start cranking the Christmas tunes quite yet…we still need to get through Thanksgiving first! Nonetheless, the holiday season is such a blessing and a joy to experience through the young eyes of preschoolers!

This past week had have so much fun with our Apple and Pumpkin Days. Classes were immersed in baking, painting, crafts, games, and so much more. A huge thanks to all who helped make this event a success!

There are several BIG events and happenings this month. Please be sure to read about them here to stay in the loop! 🙂
