Hello Room 5!
This week we had a blast playing in water, climbing, running and splashing with pump and splash!! We are so grateful for this summer and we thank you for all you have done for our class! We can see, without a shadow of a doubt, that these kids have truly enjoyed summer! We look forward to Week 8 and closing out our Summer 2019 program!
Blessings
This week we were back in the warm water beaches! We got to run around and splash in water again at the big field and on our preschool campus. We got to make cool shirts with sharpies-we can’t wait to show you! Today we got to go to the big school and play with Hula Hoops from Hoop It Up! The kids had a blast! Enjoy pictures from today! 🙂
Week 3 has been a busy week! We have been stamping and doing rubbing crayon art, running/climbing outside and eating snow cones, watching a mini movie and eating a yummy snack, walking to the big school for chapel, and today we got to go to the big school and go through the corn maze!
This week is Arctic week in Room 5- we have been exploring white rice and arctic animals as well as other arctic animals and a play structure. We have been practicing our building skills with sugar cubes (fine motor) and twig blocks (large motor).
We are looking forward to Week 4, where we will visit the Desert National Parks. Stay tuned!
Enjoy pictures from Week 3! 🙂
Hello Family!
Each week we get to do art, watch a short movie, play in the water, go to chapel and enjoy a show at the big school!
Our National Park this week is: Warm Water Beaches. For our sensory bin this week we explored fine sand and ocean animals! For an extra art activity we painted paper plate fish!
Even though this week has been way to cold for water play, that hasn’t stopped our fun! We have been enjoying running around on the big yard and eating snow cones, singing and hearing God’s Word in chapel, watching Charlie’s Color Form on Netflix and eating a yummy snack, learning how to wrap yarn around a stick, and watching a juggler balance a wheelbarrow on his face (among many other talents)!
Enjoy some pictures below! 🙂
Hello Room 5!
We are so excited that summer is here and we get to play and learn together! We have been doing some exciting things this past week from painting rocks, splish splashin’ in pools, going to chapel, watching a short movie and finishing off the week with an Ocean Rocks presentation where we were able to learn about Ocean Animals! Take a look at some pictures of our first week! Enjoy!
We had a blast at our field trip to Kidspace Children’s Museum. This was the perfect field trip for our little guys in Room #4. It was a short drive from our preschool and the museum had lots of fun and age appropriate things to explore. Thank you to all our parent volunteer who made this trip an enjoyable and successful experience.
This place was filed with many safe and fun things to see, explore and do, If you have not been there, you might want to check it out, They have the Galvin Physics Forest, Imagination Workshop, Nature Exchange, Roberts Pavilion and the Outdoor play to visit and discover. The kids enjoyed both the in door and outdoors activities.Â
Thank you again parents/grandparents for volunteering and joining us in this fabulous, out of the routine adventure. It was a blast!
In class we cooked corn bread with our children in class#4. In this fun and interactive activity the children learned skills needed in life such as, social-emotional development; pride and confidence in their skills and abilities, follow directions and using thinking skills to problem solve. Physical development; spreading and mixing, skills that help develop a child’s small muscle control and eye-hand coordination, and even early concepts of math and science.  Cognitive development; Cooking inspires children’s curiosity, offering new opportunities to make predictions and observations. Language development; cooking is also a great opportunity for language development, children can match pictures to words and articulate questions inspired by their new experiences. Literacy; following written recipe with images.Â

Hello Room 5 Family and Friends!
This week we cooked stone soup and ate it together as a class during lunch time. All of our friends participated by bringing in some veggies, beans, chicken, pasta, and bread. Without all the contributions, it would not have been possible! (Thank you parents!) Here are some pictures from cooking stone soup and enjoying it. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!
