Snow Day at last!

Our long awaited winter fun has finally come. The day could not have been more beautiful! Room 1 students were so excited we almost ran all the way to the yard.

The sledding hill was the main attraction.

It was so fun on Tuesday we had to do it all again!

Thank you to all the parents who came in to help out! We especially appreciated the help when the snow began to turn into ice.

“The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth.”

Isaiah 55:10

Welcome back room 1

We are so happy to be back in action!

Although we can’t make up for lost time, students and teachers are naturals at picking up where we left off.

We’ve been reading new books, exploring new toys and caring for one another.

We have missed small groups and have rushed right back into them. The class asked for them when we first returned.

This week the children have been engaged with marshmallow projects, ice experiments, puzzles, and letters M, N, O, P.

Everyones’ eagerness to return has shown how important preschool is. Moving forward we will continue regular small group routine and keep working towards our skill goals.

Field trip to Underwood Farm

On November 22, rooms 1 ,2 and 3 went to a farm! It was a beautiful day and all the families were amazing! Underwood’s farm provided an educational and hands on experience.

We watched a couple shows about fruits/ vegetables and animals.

Room 1 got to go on their own tractor out to the fields, and once there we picked crops

Family photos!

Everyone had fun on the tractor all stuffed together! We picked kale, lettuce and wax beans.

After refueling all the families went to feed the animals and play around the farm.

What a relaxing day.

The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land. – Deuteronomy 28:8

🏀Room 1 on the Big Field⚽️

Every Wednesday is our time to venture onto the big school campus and utilize the big field.

It’s a great time for the students to run around, be loud and get out energy!

We often start with a race across the field. We like to run like different animals varying from birds to horses! Students love to come up with different ways to cross the field.

Our time on the field is usually about 30-40 minutes before chapel. Within that time we run, play soccer, play catch and play with frisbees.

Sometimes, Room 2 accompanies us on the big field. We welcome them into activities and join forces to have fun!

Sometimes we bring out different things like the parachute and potatoes sacks for sack races!

Big Field is a highlight of our week. It gives us a light and fun break from small groups. A big open space is great for children to use their creativity!

Psalm 96:12:

“Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.”
