Happy Birthday, Jesus! – Saturday, December 13th, from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Happy Birthday, Jesus! is a SATURDAY MORNING EVENT; this annual preschool tradition will occur at the preschool and in the PCS auditorium. Each classroom has been preparing seasonal songs to share with our families.
Event Schedule:
- 10:00 a.m. – Preschool doors open for Craft Making. You are invited to visit each preschool classroom to create fun Christmas Crafts.

Room Parents will send details of how you can help support the event by donating supplies, setting up, cleaning up, or helping monitor/host during the event. (Volunteer MVP hours will be doubled at this event; working ½ an hour counts as 1 hour.)
Parking: Garfield Parking Lot located at 1492 N Garfield Ave., Pasadena, CA. 91104.
We will also be parking on the PCS field.

PJs and Hot Cocoa Days – Thursday, December 18th & Friday, December 19th
One of our beloved Christmas traditions at preschool is our PJs and Hot Cocoa Days! We love getting cozy and watching a classic Christmas short, like How the Grinch Stole Christmas or A Charlie Brown Christmas. Add a little popcorn, a warm cup of cocoa, and an entire class of friends, and it makes for a beautiful time together.

Friday, December 19th – MINIMUM DAY: NOON DISMISSAL

From our preschool family to yours,
We wish you a Christmas season filled with love, light, and laughter as you come together with family and friends. May you enjoy festive traditions, cherish the memories of loved ones, and celebrate the true reason for the season. We are praying for blessings over everyone during the holiday break and look forward to reuniting in the New Year.
In His service and with heartfelt love,
Pasadena Christian Preschool
8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”Luke 2:8-14

Monday, January 5th – Preschool Resumes

Farm Day – RESCHEDULED for Friday, Jan. 23rd
Older Pod Field Trip to Underwood Family Farms
Mark your calendars! Rooms 1, 2, & 3 will be going on our traditional fall field trip to Underwood Family Farm this year at last; yay!
New copies of our trip information letter and permission slips will go out when we return from our Christmas Break and will be distributed through classroom mailboxes. Parent sign-ups for driving and/or chaperoning are available in the classrooms near the sign-in/out logs.
Younger Pod & Toddlers On-site Field Trip
We will continue the celebration on-site for Rooms 4, 5, and Toddlers with a visit from a few animal pals.
*If you are a Tuesday/Thursday family, please be sure to speak with your classroom teachers and the preschool office regarding how you can join in our farm day fun.

Snow Days – Weds., Jan. 28th & Thurs., Jan. 29th
We are excited to announce an on-site field trip to the snow this winter! Starting Thursday, January 28th, we will transform the yard into a winter wonderland with real snow! The snow will be supplied by Arctic Glacier, an outside company specializing in snow and ice events. Each classroom will have the chance to enjoy the frosty fun as an extension of their yard time.
We recommend dressing your little ones warmly on those days and sending snow-appropriate clothing and footwear, along with extra clothes for changing into afterward.
*This event will be postponed if the forecast calls for rain on either of our planned days.
