5 little monkeys
In Room 5, we have been singing the song “5 little monkeys jumping on the bed”. But to make sure our littles stay safe we are showing them how to jump on the carpet! 😉
Rhythm Sticks and PomPoms
In Room 5 we have been practicing using rhythm sticks at circle time. We are practicing tapping the floor and stacking the sticks. We have also been practicing our fine motor skills by using red pinchers to pick up pompoms and put them in the caterpillar.
Bubbles and Outdoor Play
In Room 5, we like to play with HUGE bubbles that Mr. Yorlin has made for us! We have been playing in the sand and going down the slide!
Apple Pumpkin Day 2!
Apple Pumpkin Day 1
We have had such a great time with our special guest Papa zooming in to read us a Daniel Tiger story! We enjoyed a yummy Apple Pie Cup! We finished off our morning with a dance party! Thank you to all who helped make today special! We are excited for tomorrow!
Fun in Room 5!
Hello from Room 5!!
We have had a very busy first 2 weeks of school! We have been playing outside; running around, dancing (especially to baby shark!) and of course popping bubbles!! Our friends in Room 5 LOVE bubbles! We have also been splashing in our water tables and watering our new plants outside on our patio!
Inside our classroom we have been busy cooking in dramatic play, stamping and coloring in our writing center and building with blocks in the block area. Again, music is a BIG part of our day! We like to dance and sing silly songs. We just started painting inside on the easel and our friends have been exploring the paint with their hands…and even their arms!!!
We are having lots of fun and we hope you enjoy our pictures below!

Valentine’s Day Party
Hello!
Thank you all for helping us celebrate Valentine’s Day by bringing yummy fruit, teddy grams, cheese, milk and decorations! Our parties were a great success! Each child that brought a valentines to share passed theirs out to their friends. We practiced showing gratitude by saying “Thank you!” to each friend. Check out the pictures below!
Love,

Lunar New Year in Room 5
Hello from Room 5!
We have been learning about Lunar New Year in the past few weeks. We have read a book, “Goldy Luck and the Three Pandas” by Natasha Yim.

For art: We painted our very own Chinese Lanterns.

We also gave each child a small envelope with good luck money to welcome good fortune for the new year.

We then enjoyed a very yummy family style lunch from China Express. We enjoyed Fried Rice, Chicken Chow Mein, Beef with Broccoli, Teriyaki Chicken (fried) and Egg Drop Soup.
Happy Lunar New Year from Room 5!
