The students and I talked about how an object balances, and what balance is. They also listened to the story by Dr. Seuss, Ten Apples Up on Top. We also practiced drawing circles. Then they painted many red apple circles. We even had fun counting them afterwards. 😉

I read the inspiring story, “The Dot,” by Peter Reynolds. It’s an inspiring story about art, not giving up, and seeing where art takes you. The students then painted their very own dot painting and expressed themselves based on the story. Enjoy!
The children love hearing the story of the nativity, even though many have heard it plenty of times. They feel proud shouting out what comes next. 😉
I hope you find a special place to hang their nativity scene in your home.
Merry Christmas and God bless!
