PJs, Cocoa, and Movie Days December 2025

We had an absolutely delightful time watching “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” in the cozy lobby, the air filled with the irresistible aroma of freshly popped popcorn. As we settled in, the warmth of the holiday spirit enveloped us, creating a magical atmosphere perfect for celebrating the season. Sharing laughter and excitement, it was a fantastic way to conclude our holiday festivities together at the preschool. We eagerly anticipate our final half-day on Friday, December 19th, ready to create even more cherished memories before our Christmas Break.

From our preschool family to yours,

We wish you a Christmas season filled with love, light, and laughter as you come together with family and friends. May you enjoy festive traditions, cherish the memories of loved ones, and celebrate the true reason for the season. We are praying for blessings over everyone during the holiday break and look forward to reuniting in the New Year.

In His service and with heartfelt love,
Pasadena Christian Preschool

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

Luke 2:8-14

Snow Days – Weds., Jan. 28th & Thurs., Jan. 29th

We are excited to announce an on-site field trip to the snow this winter! Starting Thursday, January 28th, we will transform the yard into a winter wonderland with real snow! The snow will be supplied by Arctic Glacier, an outside company specializing in snow and ice events. Each classroom will have the chance to enjoy the frosty fun as an extension of their yard time.

We recommend dressing your little ones warmly on those days and sending snow-appropriate clothing and footwear, along with extra clothes for changing into afterward.

*This event will be postponed if the forecast calls for rain on either of our planned days.

Christmas 2025 Book Orders

Dear families,

As we approach the Christmas season, consider giving the gift of books. They make fantastic presents, whether you’re adding to your child’s personal library or sharing with others. A book is a gift that keeps on giving.

When you shop through our Clubs, you also support our school, as your orders earn points that can be redeemed for books and other classroom supplies for the preschool.

Here’s how it works: We’ll send home flyers like these throughout the year (either physically or digitally). If you choose to place an order, you can do so via our preschool ordering page. Your books will arrive at school about 10 days after I submit our preschool order.

By working together with Scholastic, we’ll help your child develop a love of books, nurture early literacy and pre-reading skills—and build a classroom library that all our students are excited to explore!

Orders due date: 11/21/25

Shop our preschool page: https://orders.scholastic.com/32N3RM

Happy reading!

Operation Christmas Child 2025

We are excited to join forces with Samaritan’s Purse for Operation Christmas Child once again this year! Informational flyers have been distributed in the parent mailboxes, and we encourage you to contribute by bringing completed boxes to the Thanksgiving Tree in the preschool lobby. Together, we can share the message of God’s love and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children around the world!

*Preprinted Shoeboxes are available at the preschool front desk while supplies last.

News and Reminders 2025

End of Daylight Savings – Sunday, Nov. 2nd

It’s time to reset our clocks as we “Fall Back” by one hour. This minor adjustment can affect our kids, leading to emotional drop-offs and concerns about how dark it gets while they’re still at school. Classrooms will address the time change, and we are ready to support the children as they adjust to this shift.

As the days grow darker and colder earlier, we will transition from spending afternoons outdoors in the yard and on patios to spending them inside the classrooms.

End of the Day Classrooms:

Older Pod – Rm 1 for Rm 1 & 2

Younger Pod – Rm 5 for Rm 4 & 5 Friends (Rm 3 will remain in their room.)

Toddlers – Toddler A for all our toddler friends.

Preschool Chapel – Friday, Nov. 7th

This month’s chapel will focus on the story of Noah’s Ark. The children adore this story and its emphasis on family, animals, and listening to God. We eagerly await the opportunity to worship and praise God together.

We will celebrate the end of the school year with our traditional classroom Pizza Parties. Of course, the preschool will provide pizza, but there will be classroom sign-ups for additional side items such as fruit, paper goods, and table décor. The classrooms will share those sign-ups around the middle of May.

The preschool will be closed to celebrate and remember all the brave men and women who have and continue to uphold and defend our nation here in the United States and around the world. Their service and sacrifice are greatly appreciated and deserve profound recognition and unceasing gratitude. Thank you for your service.

We felt that aloha was the perfect sentiment for the last two days of our preschool year. So, hello to summer, goodbye to our year together, and of course, I love you.

We invite all the kids to dress in their brightest, most tropical, and Hawaiian best on Wednesday and Thursday. We will also celebrate the conclusion of our year with special photo opportunities at drop-off and much more.

This year has been amazing! It is a blessing to watch the children grow, and we are excited to celebrate the students who will be moving on to the next phase of their education, whether here at PCS or beyond.

This year, we will host our traditional promotion ceremony on the main campus in the auditorium from 6 to 7 p.m. The Room 1 & 2 kiddos have been rehearsing some adorable songs and can hardly wait to share them.

Keep your eyes peeled for your invitation, which will include all the details.

The preschool will be closed to students for cleaning and summer prep. However, the preschool office will be open to answer questions and assist with any summer paperwork that may still need to be completed before camp begins.

Our first session of Fun in the Sun: Deep Sea Discovery! and Kinder Camp will kick off on Monday, June 9th. Summers at the preschool are chock-full of good times and new adventures, and we can hardly wait to get started.

Summer Camp Registration

Will you join this year’s Fun in the Sun or Kinder Camp? If so, please submit your registration forms as soon as possible. Spaces are filling up quickly. Don’t miss your chance to be part of the fun at preschool this summer.

Just a friendly reminder of our Preschool Parking Lot Rules/Requests

  1. Please drive carefully, keeping an eye on speed and kiddos in the lot.
  2. Children should be directed to stay on the sidewalk during pick-up and drop-off except when accessing their vehicles. Little people are very hard to spot between cars.
  3. Our lot’s limited spaces make quick drop-offs and pick-ups ideal.

Thanks for helping us keep our little ones safe, healthy, and happy.
