Our littles in Room 1 have been hard at work (and by work, we mean PLAY!). It’s been an extremely busy start to the school year but rest assured our friends are settling into their classroom, their new friendships, and the rhythms of Pre-K quite nicely. Here is what we’ve been up to:
Developing imagination, demonstrating conceptual knowledge, and practicing book handling skills…
Completing tasks that require collaboration…
Building with a new level of purpose and execution…
Strengthening our pencil grip, and using open ended art materials…
Making sense of the world around us by experiencing it for ourselves through dramatic play…
Exercising, working on gross motor movements, and teamwork…
Exploring the laws of physics…
Strengthening fine motor skills and creativity…
Investigating concepts like force, motion, and speed…
Developing language as we work together to dig, build, and bury…
Practicing math, measurements, and ordinal sequences…
Discovering color mixing in practical ways…
Learning God’s word by reading our Bible and acting out fun skits…
Loving each other and enjoying life together!
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6
