Week 3! So much fun!

Week 3 was such a busy time! We were on the go all week. So many activities. Here are a few pictures of all the things that we did. . .

Water was everywhere and we climbed and played even in the heat. Water breaks were important.

We had an inflatable unicorn and snow cones on Tuesday. Even though it’s been a few weeks we still love it! 😄

On Wednesday we went to chapel with Mr. Tim and learned about the baby Moses. We also love the chapel music and we request it in our classroom all the time.

We watched some PJ Masks and a little Bubble Guppies. We ate popcorn and thoroughly enjoyed it!

We have been creating so much art both in the classroom and outside!!

Friday was Hula day and we played with hula hoops and dressed up in leis.

We also made ice cream on Friday and listened to Hawaiian music.

What a busy and fun filled week!

Week 2, What an Adventure!

We have already finished the second week of the summer. There were some snags that required a little creativity but we made it through!

We love the playhouse on the patio! We love being on the patio in general. So many new things to touch and explore.

When our AC went out we spent time in the Art Room. It is where we do Chapel in the summer. We watched Octonauts and cooled off.

We also got to have popsicles! Those were a big hit.

On Thursday we played with the Bike Wash in the yard. Eventually we decided to go through without the bikes.

We played and when it started raining we played in the rain.

So much fun in our classroom once the AC was fixed!

We watched a little Octonauts and a little PJ Masks and had popcorn. Yum! 😋

Thanks for such a great week and we wish all of the Fathers a very happy (and relaxing) Father’s Day!

Week 1. . . Done!

We have had such a full week! It has been jam packed with fun activities, art and playing with old friends and new ones. On Wednesday we had Chapel with Mr. Tim.

We sang the summer song and learned about how God created the world.

In the classroom we discovered the fun beach area. Sunglasses are a fan favorite!

This week we have been playing with our small Pineapple bubble maker but today we got to play with the big one and Mr. Yorlin came and made giant bubbles with us!

The patio has a playhouse that is very popular. We have been very good about taking turns with it!

We had pizza for lunch today. And our favorite fruit: Strawberries! Yum.

Today was also finally warm enough for water play. Some of the friends got soaked and some just dabbled but everyone had a good time.

And we have come to the end of the first week which is only the beginning of our summer fun! Here is looking forward to next week and all that it entails. Have a great weekend everyone!

Fun in the Sun!

It’s the first week of our summer program and we are already so busy! We have old friends back as well as welcoming new ones.

A glimpse of the classroom that the children see everyday.

We love the patio and exploring inside and out.

We spent a lot of time the first couple of days exploring every inch of our space.

We love to see what everyone brings for lunch. Sometimes we bring the same thing and we are lunch twins!

On Tuesday we had snow-cones in the afternoon. Cherry for everyone! We will see what flavor is happening next Tuesday.

Outside the children have been building houses and playing The Three Little Pigs!

So far this promises to be a summer of fun and exploration. We are having so much fun in the sun already and we anticipate even more!

The Final Day

Today is the last day of the school year and it’s a short one. We tried to pack in as much fun as possible with our class in the short amount of time we have left.

We played in the sand area and rode bikes.

We watched Pixar Shorts and Burrow on Disney plus.

Thank you for such a fun year. It wouldn’t have been the same without our fun, energetic, zany, inventive class!

Almost the end. . .

It’s the last couple of days of the school year and it’s all about the fun! Yay to no naps! The children were so excited about that.

We ate popsicles while we were in the yard.

Ms. Joy came and cut fresh pineapple in front of us and we got frozen Go-Gurts for snack as well.

It was so cool. The teachers were more amazed than the children.

We watched short stories on YouTube and listened to a few songs.

We watched: “Pete the Cat & the Perfect Pizza Party”, “Pete’s A Pizza”, and a couple of Pete the Cat favorites (4 Groovy Buttons & White Shoes) as well as well loved Music and Movement songs.

End of the Year!

It’s the end of the year and we are going out with a bang. Two pizza parties in a row!

They loved the decorations and they kept touching them!

The first day of pizza and everyone wanted more and more!

Looking at books and enjoying literacy is something we do every day.

We also sing Open, Shut Them.

We love to play and we take such cute photos

We celebrated Ms. Sheri’s birthday as a class.

We loved shopping in the Grocery Store Ms. Gwendolyn made!

All together we have had a busy year and we have had so many great moments.

It’s Gonna Be May

(Sorry, I couldn’t resist)

It’s May and almost the end of the school year. We can’t believe how quickly this year has flown by!

As we get closer to the end I find myself taking more and more pictures. This year has been new for everyone and while it was different it was still beautiful. Our class has so many great personalities and this year wouldn’t have been the same without each and every one of them!

At this point in the year the children are used to me saying, “ look at me!” They are so patient with taking pictures and they show me so many things they have built/ made.

We are so grateful for each and every child and their unique personalities!

Mountains and Valleys

The Room 3 friends love to play in the sandbox and in the wood chips. Each has their own draw and inspires different kinds of creative play.

One of the things that the Room 3 teachers like to do is to refer to a persons bottom as a biscuit. So when the friends are asked to sit down, they are asked to sit on their biscuit. They have taken this word and applied it to their play.

In the sandbox they like to dig holes and then sit in them. Then they call it their biscuit hole. A hole for their biscuit!

In the wood chips we have started to build mounds that we call our mountains.

Every day we find new ways to build and create and use our imagination!

Week of the Young Child

This week has been a blast! Every day has had a different theme and it has been so much fun dressing up and seeing what the friends were going to wear.
