We had a fantastic week making scrumptious pancakes and building grand train tracks with our new train toys. As our field trip to the train station draws closer, we are excited to see how invested and interested the children are when it comes to learning about trains and playing with trains. In addition, we are also learning about an American folk hero and train track hero named John Henry!

Squishy Squeezy Slime!
Last week we had the opportunity to make Gak, also known by the kids as slime. It is a glue based polymer substance that was and still is popular with the children. As a matter of fact, it’s pretty fun for the teachers in Room 3 as well. Be sure to be careful if you attempt to make this at home because just like glue, it will stick but it won’t come off easily.
Fun with Marshmallows, Rice Krispies and Snow!
Room 3 had an amazing time this week celebrating winter in all its white and snow-filled glory. Rice Krispie snowballs were made with a little bit of blue food coloring. In addition, the children had the opportunity to create snow art. Look forward to the new adventures that will be had in the future and here’s a hint…”full steam ahead!”
Happy New Year and Welcome to 2018!
It’s a brand new year and that means new adventures for us in Room 3. However, that doesn’t mean we should forget the end of 2017. As an acknowledgement to end of the year, please enjoy the Happy Birthday Jesus performance and the other various picture of activities and fun that was had.
Room 3’s First Trip to the Farm!
Room 3 had a spectacular time at the farm. It was our first time there and hopefully it won’t be the last because we loved the shows, animals and activities. The children were exhausted by the end of the day and were reluctant to leave due to how much fun they were having. Thank you to Underwood Farm and all of their employees for making our field trip an incredibly enjoyable one.
Happy Apple and Pumpkin Day!
Although it was our first time participating in Apple and Pumpkin Day, we had an amazing time. The day was packed with fun activities, smiles and laughter. We would like to thank all the parents that contributed and helped out!
Pumpkin Delight in Room 3!
Hip Hip Hooray!
We had an amazing week singing our Hip-Hip-Hippopotamus song and talking about creation. A highlight of our week was playing “Red light, Green light” on the Big Field. Overall, it was a fun week of playing and we can’t wait to see what awaits us next week.
Red Light, Green Light, GO!
We had an amazing week filled with lots of fun. Joy and laughter was had while playing Red Light, Green Light, dancing in the classroom and singing new songs.
Brand New Week and Brand New Adventures!
Despite the incredibly hot weather, we still managed to have lots of fun! We made use of our yard and had water play in an attempt to cool down. We also stayed inside and enjoyed the cool embrace of the AC and the plethora of activities that we had to play with.
