Despite the incredibly hot weather, we still managed to have lots of fun! We made use of our yard and had water play in an attempt to cool down. We also stayed inside and enjoyed the cool embrace of the AC and the plethora of activities that we had to play with.
To celebrate Fall and all its leafy goodness, we made apple sauce. The children had a blast helping Mr. Timmy peel and core the apples; they had even more fun smashing the apples into apple sauce.
In our apple sauce we included: peeled and cored apples, apple juice, sugar, and cinnamon.
The first week has come to an end and we are so glad to have you all in Room 3. The children have enjoyed playing in the yard with their new classmates, exploring what our classroom has to offer, and the activities in the patio provided by the wonderful Ms. Gwendolyn. We look forward to the new experiences we will have in the future.
We have had an amazing journey this summer with all of our friends in Room 3. We are saddened by the conclusion of the summer program, but we know that there are more adventures to be had in the future. We wish everybody to best and we pray you have a restful and fun remainder of the summer before school resumes in fall!
We’ve had another fantastic week here in Room 3. Summer has been a blast and we loved cuddling with the adorable puppies.
We have had a fantastic week visiting the Sylmar Wildlife Learning Center and having animals visit us here on campus. We can’t wait to see what happens next…
Room 3 had an awesome time this week playing with water and listening to stories in the Monrovia Library. On Tuesday we had the opportunity to splash in pools on the Big Field. We went to Chapel on Wednesday and learned about Jonah and the Whale. On Thursday we went to the Monrovia library and read stories, danced, had lunch and ate Yogurtland. We had a chance of plans on Friday due to the heat, but that meant that the kids were able to enjoy a bouncy house filled with water! As a bonus we made ice cream to defeat the heat. Overall, it was an incredibly hot and fun filled week.
