Children are special every single day. On The week of the young child we celebrate them in a special way, each day we planned a different activities to celebrate them in a fun, different and silly ways. Have a look.

THURSDAY: ENJOY THE SUMMER DRESS UP IN THE SPRING

We are introducing the color green in our class. Reading the book “Little blue and little yellow,” has been a great start. Making blue and yellow playdough and having the kids squeeze and roll the color together was a great hands on experience. Painting on the easel with green was fun and messy, in the dramatic area we have green hats, necklaces and head bands for the kids to wear. We had many more activities that displayed something green sorting by attributes, painting shamrocks with blue and yellow and treasure hunting.

What an amazing bunch of kids we have in our class, they enjoy story time, dancing, art, puzzles and cooking. Singing and praying is always a favorite in our class.

All the kids have caring and loving hearts, they show it with hugs and kind word. We learned a new song in our class and is called “H E A R T, “ sang to beat of “ B I N G O. “

We had two exciting days of snow. We covered our playground with snow and we’ll joined the fun. What a fun experience we had with our little friends. They climb, slidden, slipped, rolled snow balls and built a snowman. Only at Pasadena Christian.

We introduced Lunar New Year to our class by reading some books, listening to rhyming songs in Chinese and tried to guess what song it was playing in English. The kids made lanterns, dragons and cooked fried rice. Thank you parents for supporting the class by bringing the items needed to cook. “GUNG HAY FAT CHOY”

December was a short and busy month for us at the pre-school. The kids painted special Christmas canvas to send home for mom and dad, they made Christmas decorations to display in class, office and the big yard. We learned songs to sing for all our grandparents and for Happy Birthday Jesus. Our Bible story for the month of December was from the Beginner’s Bible, “The Christmas Story,” Luke 1:26-28. We reviewed the stories , sang “Way down in a manger,””Jingle bells,” and listen to many Christmas songs. Brought art, flannel stories, creative dramatic dress up and playing with little people Nativity set our class connected more with the meaning of Christmas.

Questions to ask your children: Luke 1:26-38 “What is the angel’s name? Gabriel.“ “What did Gabriel tell Mary? She’s going to have a baby.” “What is the baby’s name? Jesus.“ “What did Gabriel told Mary? With God everything is possible.” Luke 2:1-7 Baby Jesus is born: Mary and Jose went to Bethlehem. “What did Mary ride on to Bethlehem? Donkey.” There was no room in the Inn. “Baby Jesus was born in? Stable.” “Where did baby Jesus sleep in? A Manger.

Who is coming,who is coming to our pre-school? Grandparents of course. It was such a blessing and good feeling to enjoy the company of our lovely grandparents. It felt a little closer to our normal life.

The kids were happy and did an amazing job at singing our songs.

We had pigs, chickens, goats, ducks, and a goose visiting us at he pre school. Before their visit we read books about farm animals, sang songs and watch animal videos on YouTube. Having the real thing here at PCS was a treat.
