We have been having such a busy summer! We have been beginning to enjoy the warmer weather again and more water play! We even got to make “Desert Dirt Cups” for those that wanted to participate. 🙂
Week 3 has been a busy week! We have been stamping and doing rubbing crayon art, running/climbing outside and eating snow cones, watching a mini movie and eating a yummy snack, walking to the big school for chapel, and today we got to go to the big school and go through the corn maze!
This week is Arctic week in Room 5- we have been exploring white rice and arctic animals as well as other arctic animals and a play structure. We have been practicing our building skills with sugar cubes (fine motor) and twig blocks (large motor).
We are looking forward to Week 4, where we will visit the Desert National Parks. Stay tuned!
Enjoy pictures from Week 3! 🙂
Hello Family!
Each week we get to do art, watch a short movie, play in the water, go to chapel and enjoy a show at the big school!
Our National Park this week is: Warm Water Beaches. For our sensory bin this week we explored fine sand and ocean animals! For an extra art activity we painted paper plate fish!
Even though this week has been way to cold for water play, that hasn’t stopped our fun! We have been enjoying running around on the big yard and eating snow cones, singing and hearing God’s Word in chapel, watching Charlie’s Color Form on Netflix and eating a yummy snack, learning how to wrap yarn around a stick, and watching a juggler balance a wheelbarrow on his face (among many other talents)!
Enjoy some pictures below! 🙂
Hello Room 5!
We are so excited that summer is here and we get to play and learn together! We have been doing some exciting things this past week from painting rocks, splish splashin’ in pools, going to chapel, watching a short movie and finishing off the week with an Ocean Rocks presentation where we were able to learn about Ocean Animals! Take a look at some pictures of our first week! Enjoy!
Flu and cold season is officially upon us and unfortunately, and at times, it seems the only things little children are willing to share are germs!
Please click here to visit the CDC’s “ACTION STEPS” for fighting the flu!
At preschool, we are taking every measure possible to prevent the spread of germs at school such as disinfecting surfaces and toys with an EPA approved, school-friendly disinfectant, washing hands regularly, and as required by law, checking students daily for signs of sickness. Students who exhibit symptoms will be sent home to recover.
We appreciate every parent who has been proactive in checking their child(ren) daily for signs of sickness before coming to school. Please remember to keep your child home if they are exhibiting any symptoms of sickness, including lethargy, fever, vomiting, coughing, sneezing, excessive crankiness, disrupted sleep patterns, etc.
If your child does get sick, please remember that there is a mandatory 24 hour waiting period after the final symptoms of fever, vomiting, or diarrhea without the aid of medication.
Finally, if your child does exhibit signs of the flu, it is highly encouraged to see a doctor right away as your child may be eligible for an anti-viral that will shorten the duration of the sickness.
What a blessing it is to work with these little ones each day! It is also a joy to be able to share the love of Christ with them and to sing about His birth this Christmas season! Thank you, parents, for sharing them with us!
Our annual Happy Birthday Jesus Party was a huge success! Each and every one of our Littles did such a spectacular job performing on stage!! Games, crafts, pizza and cupcakes were a special treat for a job well done!
Thank you to all the teachers who made this show possible and to our parent volunteers who helped make this event a success!!

Hello Room 5 Family and Friends!
This week we cooked stone soup and ate it together as a class during lunch time. All of our friends participated by bringing in some veggies, beans, chicken, pasta, and bread. Without all the contributions, it would not have been possible! (Thank you parents!) Here are some pictures from cooking stone soup and enjoying it. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

Greetings Room 5 Families!
We have been very busy in Room 5 getting to know each other, learning our new jobs, and even learning the fruits of spirit! Although our little ones are small they are definitely mighty and eager to learn new things everyday. We are learning how to take turns (self control), use our words and show kindness with our friends. It is hard for a two year old to use their words so we are there to help them navigate through any problem or struggle they come into contact with so they are more confident in the struggles they face later on.
We have also been using our muscles in the big yard by climbing outside on the structure, riding bikes in the bike area, and running with friends. We are working with our sorting cups, play dough, and building with different types of blocks.
Blessings!
Enjoy the pictures below! 🙂
PCS participated in the Great California Shake Out Earthquake Drill again this year and it was another successful event! After 2 minutes of simulating the duck and cover position (we call it Bunny in the Hole), we headed up to the big field to “safety”. While the preschoolers enjoyed a snack and songs, the elementary students and staff simulated everything from broken bones to a pretend fire in the science lab. A few teachers were “trapped” in classrooms and several people were taken to “triage” for assessment. While we pray we never need to use these skills, it is affirming to know we are well prepared in the event of an emergency!

Splish splash! Summer is here! Here is a video of our friends water playing at the big school yard. We got to run around the field and make fun memories with our friends. We also got a yummy cold treat after! Hope everyone is staying cool~ 😎☀️
