Fun Run with Team Rockets

Room 2 had a blast participating in our school’s Annual Fun Run! Team Rockets ran, walked, skipped, and danced around the track with music pumping and spectators cheering them on. We had so much fun!

We are so grateful to God for our supportive parents and teachers who came out to cheer us on and generously volunteered their time and energy. Your encouragement and support mean so much to us. Thank you for being such a blessing to our school community!

Room 2’s Day at the Farm

Our Room 2 families had a wonderful time on our field trip to Underwood Family Farms. We were thankful for the beautiful weather and smooth day as our children arrived excited and ready to explore and learn! We enjoyed the Vegetable Show, where we learned about how produce grows, followed by a fun tractor ride and hands-on experience picking seasonal vegetables to take home.

After lunch, we gathered for the Animal Show and had so much fun watching the farm animals perform fun tricks. We also had the opportunity to walk around and feed some of the animals. It was such a joy to see the children’s curiosity and excitement throughout the day!

We also enjoyed the farm’s play areas, including the slides through farm machinery, tunnels, and wooden trains! We are grateful for the time spent together and for our Room 2 families who joined us and helped make this field trip so special.

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it” (Psalm 24:1). “You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly” (Psalm 65:9-10). We thank God for His beautiful creation and for a joyful day of exploring, playing, and learning together! 🌾🐷🚜💛

Annual Stone Soup Days – Room 2 Highlights

We had a wonderful time celebrating our annual Stone Soup Days! Thank you to all our families for providing ingredients, sides, and treats—your generosity made our celebration so special.

We’re excited to share that Room 2 won “Best Soup” in our preschool’s soup contest!

A special thank you to Ari’s dad and Mariah’s mom for volunteering, reading to our class, and helping cook and serve our soup. We are so grateful.

Along with our celebration, the children enjoyed playing together in the big field and yard, adding even more fun to our days.

We had a wonderful time together. Wishing all our families a blessed Thanksgiving!

“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Our First Chapel with Mr. Tim!

This morning, we enjoyed our very first chapel time with Mr. Tim! Our Theme for September is God is Our Father and our Fruit of the Spirit is Kindness. The children learned all about God’s Creation and celebrated through music and movement. We sang a fun song called “Hip Hip Hooray Hippopotamus” and watched an animated video, Stories of the Bible: Creation. Genesis 1:1 is our Bible memory verse: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”

News and Reminders 2025

We adore the month of love and look forward to all the exciting things happening as we celebrate!

Since it is the month of love, we will focus on where love comes from for chapel. After all, G.O.D. is L.O.V.E. We look forward to coming together to worship and celebrate God’s love for each of us and our love for Him and each other.

1 John 4:7-12

Each classroom will celebrate the holiday with special festivities on Thursday, February 13th, and Friday, February 14th. Please be sure to look for classroom-specific details about what they’ll be doing, including how each classroom will handle Valentine’s Day favors.

Here are a few quick suggestions…

  • Avoid edible treats. Instead, themed pencils, crayons, erasers, stickers, or other small items would be great gifts.
  • Simple and small is always best.
  • On the cards, sign – To: My Friend         From: Your Child’s Name
  • Due to flux schedules, not all the kids know each other, but it is easier to give to everyone than to figure out who comes on which day. The classrooms will provide a total head count for each room.
  • Avoid the “Boy/Girl” Valentine trap. Allow your child to select the Valentine’s they wish to give instead of worrying about how many boys and girls there are. The kids get so much more out of the reflected diversity of their peers’ interests and the things they want to give.
  • You are not obligated to give out Valentine’s cards or treats, but you are welcome to participate as you see fit.

While we don’t typically study American history or civics deeply as part of the preschool experience, we are happy to celebrate two of our nation’s most influential leaders and the role presidents play in shaping and guiding our country.

My concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right. Abraham Lincoln

We are excited to announce an on-site field trip to the snow this winter! Starting Tuesday, February 18th, we are turning the yard into a winter wonderland with snow! Arctic Glacier, an outside company specializing in snow/ice events, will provide the snow. Each classroom will have an opportunity to explore the frosty fun as an extension of their classroom’s yard time.

We recommend bundling up your little ones on those days and sending snow-appropriate clothes, footwear, and extra clothes to change into after the event.

*This event will be postponed if the forecast calls for rain on either of our planned days.

It is time to capture those adorable preschool smiles once again! Preschool Picture Days have arrived.

The preschool will host School Pictures from Julie Lilly Photography on Thursday, February 20th, and Friday, February 21st Please look out for more information from your child’s teachers about which day has been assigned to you.

Families will receive an envelope for their child’s picture purchase the week prior to Picture Days (February 10th-14th). Please complete it and return it to the preschool office on or before Picture Day.

Please let us know if you have any questions; we are happy to help!!

Staying Healthy at Preschool

We want to thank all of our families for their support and understanding as we navigate the winter months and the challenges of keeping our preschool healthy and safe. A few things to keep in mind…

If you notice your child is under the weather or displaying any signs or symptoms of potential illness, please exercise caution, keep them home, and monitor their condition. While most preschool illnesses are common and pass quickly, some are much more concerning, such as RSV.

State regulations also remind us that children may not attend school if they have had a fever, vomited, or had diarrhea in the last 24 hours. This means if your child experiences any of these conditions, they must stay home from school the following day and may return to school the day after. For example, if they have a fever on Monday, the potential first day back would be Wednesday. The same standard holds true if a child is sent home from school with any of these issues.

Please know that our team will be monitoring our kiddos, and we will contact families if we spot signs or symptoms while they’re on campus. Conversely, we appreciate parent support in our staff’s discernment regarding a child’s presence at school. Often, sick children may be cleared by a doctor to return to school but may present minor symptoms such as a lingering cough or runny nose.

Our team greatly appreciates parent notification when their child is out due to illness. It’s essential for tracking, informing other families if needed, and potentially preventing further spread. Those notifications also give us peace of mind and allow us to keep you in our prayers.
