Happy Thanksgiving

As we reflect today on all the wonderful blessings we have in our lives we give thanks to God for every single one of them. I am so very thankful for each and every one of you and your beautiful children and I thank God for bring you into my life.

Farm Day Part 2

Wow I can't believe day 2 is about over. Time flys when you are having fun. Today we enjoyed more of our farm activities as well as welcoming Farmer Greg again. This time he brought some sheep to add to the wonderful group of animals he had brought yesterday. All the animals were so vocal today they were fun to hear. We also had a hoe down and had Ms. Joy come in and read us a fun story before lunch. What a busy day. Enjoy some of the pictures and video from today's fun.

Farm Days

Our kiddos got to pet ducks, sheep, goats and a HUGE horse! Our friends did an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G job at using gentle hands, calm voices and walking feet. Thank you to all the parents for participating with bringing our kiddos all dressed up as farmers!

We also had a sheriff in the house! 😍 We encourage all of our parents to engage in some discussion with your kids about their experience!

Here are some questions that can get you guys all started:

1. What was your favorite thing about Blondie the horse?

2. What kind of food were you feeding the animals?

3. What is something new you learned about animals today?

We hope you enjoy the pictures! Happy 3-day weekend!

Farm Day Part 1

Our first Farm Day was a success! We enjoyed everything from playing farm bingo to story time with Mr. Tim. But I think what made it even more special was our special visit from Farmer Greg and some of his farm animals. Take a look at the fun we had today. Can’t wait until tomorrow for part 2.

Chapel – November 2020

November is full of so many things from autumn leaves, squash, farm fun, concepts of gratitude/thankfulness as well as times spent with family and loved ones. It is the family theme that inspires this months Bible focus on Noah’s Ark. Noah’s Ark is the prefect story for preschool to discuss the concepts of talking/listening to God, family, and of course animals. The children had a wonderful time singing “Rise & Shine” and “This is the Day” along with reading from our children’s rhyming Bible.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
Colossians 4:2

Hello November!

Wow this month has already started off with some excitement. The children are enjoying all the changes in the centers to commence our new focal point in the classroom. We are exploring harvest, farm and magnets. We are also learning how to pray and we are encouraging them to pray at home with their families every day. They love all of you and during our daily prayers in class they always include their families and ask God to keep them safe and thank God for every single one of you. Take a look at the videos below for a little idea of all the fun we are having.

POP! Popcorn Experiment!

Popcorn! Who doesn’t like popcorn!? We had a wonderful week of studying corn! We studied the different parts of the corn along with the different ways corn could be used. And of course, we had to get some kernels to make popcorn! They used their 5 senses to describe the popcorn. It’s amazing how you can incorporate all 5 sense into popcorn-making! The popping sounds, the white-ish and yellow-ish colors, the buttery smell, the soft yet bumpy texture and most importantly, the delicious taste! We were able to record most of the experience for your enjoyment and appreciation!

Pajama Day!

What a way to end our short week! We were so relaxed in our very stylish Pjs. We enjoyed some red apple, green apple, yellow apple races outside and watched a short movie during lunch time. The children especially loved the movie since it was Leap Frogs Letter Factory and they love knowing the sounds of each letter. We also created masterpieces with orange playdough and pastels on black paper. Check it out.

Round Two of Eruptions… Pumpkin Eruptions!

We Love Worship Time!

Preschool isn’t all about letters and numbers, worship is also an essential part of our curriculum! We worshipped with one of our Room 1 favorites, “Oh Hallelujah“ by Jana Alayra. We are able to incorporate music and movement while focusing on our spiritual growth. After worship, we had a moment of prayer, where our prayer helper lead us in a wonderful prayer!
