A Firefighter Visit to Remember!
Firefighters Visit at PCS
Lucky us, the firefighters came and visited our littles! 🚒
they talk to us about a firefighters job and the importance of what they do. They also showed us their suits, gear, how their truck works, the water hose, and of course the siren 🚨
we had so much fun and even got stickers at the end!

Balancing, Gross/Fine motor & sensory
We had so much fun walking up and down the balancing beams practicing our gross motor skills!
Our friends also got to explore our sensory bins with their senses (touching, seeing, feeling, & smelling) 🤗
We also worked on our fine motor skills with beading and matching different shapes and objects.

Firefighters come to visit!
Having the firefighters visit the preschool was such a treat and a great introduction to Fall. The kids had a blast learning fun facts (e.g., firefighters won’t go into a burning building to save pets) and answering some questions (e.g., what 3 numbers do you dial to reach firefighters?) about firefighting.

The firefighters allowed each and every student to try out the fire house!

On Friday, the firefighters picked a teacher volunteer to try on the fire suit. That’s Ms. Silvia above. (The kids learned that firefighters have to put on their suit in one minute or less.)

Thank you Pasadena Fire Department!

Fun at the big school

Our friends took their first visit to the big school and had lots of fun on the yard! we had a lot of fun running, playing, and seeing a different view 🏃
Dixie cups, journals, and scissors!
Today’s small groups were a mix of gross and fine motor activity, what with using scissors to cut along dotted lines, free drawing, and building Dixie towers and fortresses, the kids had loads of fun stacking, cutting, and doodling.

This week’s activity consists of . . . with the following teachers leading each section . . .

Hispanic Heritage Month
In room 3 we celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month! We read “Diez Cerdos Hambrientos” and “Chicks and Salsa. ”These books are fun and engaging that introduce kids to Hispanic culture through language, food, and humor.

We got to celebrate and have a fiesta with chips and salsa—and of course, plenty of quackamole, what the ducks in the story adorably called guacamole!

and we finished our fiestas by having a dance party to a variety of latino culture music.
We are balancing!
We are working on balancing in Room 5 and doing a great job! 🤗
