Room 5’s outside adventures

As our friends are getting used to exploring and playing, they are having fun with our outdoor patios. Some of our friends favorite activities this week are playing with ice, riding bikes, playing in the sand box, and having fun with water.

First Weeks of School

We’ve finish our first full week of school! They children have gotten to explore the classroom, outdoor classroom and patio. We have made new friendships and rekindled old ones.

With the new school year beginning in August we had to find ways to keep cool in the end of summer heat!

Thank you to all the families for being patient during this transitions. There were many tears but they have lessen and will only get better from now on. We look forward to a great year together and can’t wait to see what great adventure are ahead!

Flying into a New School Year

We are flying into a new school year with some fun on The Patio with Ms. Kristen! Our airport dramatic play has been a popular area for friends in Rooms 1, 2, and 3. Our little ones have been so busy stamping passports, loading up luggage, repairing the engines, fueling up, and flying the plane! While we play, we are learning to take turns/share space and materials, acquiring new language, and building on our knowledge of the world around us. Welcome to Room 5 🤗

It has been a lot of fun getting to know all of our new friends in class. We have been running/playing outside, painting, building, digging in the sand, playing in water and so much more! We are excited for the coming weeks to explore more!

Pump and Splash

We ended the summer with a blast! (Of water that is.) The children had such a great time pumping water into buckets and getting wet!

We have enjoyed our time together and are looking forward to the beginning of the school year in a few weeks!

Field Trip Fun 🚌 (and a little more)

Last week we had our first official field trip to the library and we sang songs and listened to stories! The librarian even sang Bear Hunt which is a Room 3 favorite. Here are some pictures we took of the day:

We went to the library behind the park and played and ate our lunches (but mostly played).

We also had fun playing in school! Everyday is a new chance to explore and play and grow!

Water has been very popular this week. 🥵

It has been a fun summer so far and we are almost done. Thank you all for such a great time!

Summer Highlights Week 6

Summer is just flying by! We only have 9 more days together! We had a jam packed week! We got to do our splash pad on Tuesday. 💦

Wednesday we had Captain Carl come out with his mobile tide pools. Turban Snails, limpet, sting ray, crabs, starfish, even a baby shark! The children were so brave touching them all!

We are finally feeling the summer heat and have had lots of water play.

We finished off the week by celebrating Ms. Kira’s birthday with popsicles.

Fun in the Sun! 2nd Session

This week has been a short one thanks to the long holiday weekend but it has still been a busy one.

Wednesday we had chapel and enjoyed playing with each other ! 😄

Thursday we had popcorn and a movie and we were so excited for popcorn that we had a little more for afternoon snack as well

Mr Tim sang about hugging so we gave each other hugs 🤗!

We watched a few episodes of Bluey and ate all of our popcorn 🍿 and some of the teachers popcorn as well!

We also got to explore the creek for the first time this summer! Next week we will have a lot more time to splash about in it!

Friday we had a bubble party and we danced and played in the bubbles.

End of First Summer Session

We ended the first half of summer with a bang! Firework bangs ! 🎆 We made some 4th of July art and watched Disney’s Fireworks Spectacular while we had popcorn!

We enjoyed lots of water table play on the patio!

And for our last day we got to Hoop it up and have a hot dog lunch!

We worked up an appetite and had a picnic snack after hula hooping.

We had such a fun time hanging out this first session and can’t wait to enjoy the second half of summer with those that are returning. Enjoy your long weekend and Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸
