We have been having loads of fun now that the sun came out and played with us.

Our young artists made pirate hats, the hats looked fabulous.
We had a successful short circle time with our new summer group. Hurray!!

Fun in the Sun! Week 3

This week has been warm and bright and sunny. Here are some of the things we did in the bright sunshine 🌞!

We got to do some water play on Tuesday! 💧
We sat in the warm summer sun and enjoyed our snow cones 🍧

On Wednesday we had chapel with Mr. Tim.

And we had morning meeting with Ms. Audra where we sang songs and said a prayer for our day!

Thursday we had Pirate Party where we made maps and dressed up like pirates and had treats! Popsicles, Pirates Booty and Go-Gurt. What a day!

Today we watched Jake and the Neverland Pirates and had popcorn 🍿 ! It was a great end to a good week.

Fun in the Sun! Week 2

What a gray and misty week 🌧️. But even with all of that we still had so much fun! Here are a few pictures of some of the fun.

We did some art and morning meeting. This is also what lunchtime looks like. We sit and eat and chat! 😀
Snow Cone Tuesdays are well loved 🥰!
We had fun exploring the Quarry and wearing our hard hats and vests. 👷🏾‍♀️👷🏽

We saw an awesome Mad Science show and we got to participate! Yay science 👨🏽‍🔬 👩🏻‍🔬

We had some pizza for lunch to celebrate a birthday and it was delicious 🤤🍕

And we ended our Friday playing with roly-poly’s and a little bit of 🌞 sunshine!

Fun in the Sun! Week 1

It has been a fun couple of weeks here in Room 3 and we have done so many awesome things together. Here are a few pictures of what has happened so far. ..

We explored both inside and outside the classroom.

We had school wide chapel with Mr. Tim.

We watched Bubble Guppies and had popcorn on a movie day 🍿
We learned about dinosaurs and got to touch some fossils. We also got to take some home.

Summer has been a blast so far and we look forward to what happens next.

FIRST SUMMER SESSION

Welcome to our 2023 Fun in the Sun at PCS. We are happy to see such amazing little campers, full of energy and ready to see new adventures.

Golf ball painting and our sensory table ocean discovery was fun and messy.
It’s a,amazing how they all can seat together in a group and enjoy a delicious snack.
These kids loved the mist fall on their head, chase bubbles and explore the wet sand.
Here they all are enjoying some blue SNOW CONES.
The sand has been wet and perfect for making fun castles or molds of some kind. The kids love it,
Fishing with magnetic hooks.
CHAPEL WITH MR. TIM.” This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live,through him.” 1John 4:9
POP CORN and a SHORT MOVIE.
“WATER PLAY,” This summer it has not been much of a summer. JUNE GLOOM, Hahahaha! We are still wearing jackets and find it too cold for lots of water play.

Bikes are the favorite for these campers.

Congratulations to Our Preschoolers!

We are so blessed and happy to celebrate our kiddos at our Preschool Promotion! May God continue to bless these wonderful children on the next step in their journey! We are so blessed to have had this year to watch them grow and thrive! Thank you to everyone who came out to watch them perform their hearts out and celebrate with us! ❣️

Snail’s Pace Race on the Patio

This past month our friends played a life-size version of the children’s board game, Snail’s Pace Race on the Patio with Ms. Kristen.

Why are “games” and “play” such a vital part of early childhood education? Nothing answers that question better than seeing the range of skills being developed in such fun and practical ways as this.

While we play we are developing social emotional skills–engaging in cooperative play, delegating roles, taking turns, regulating our own emotions, developing self-confidence and laying the groundwork for character development and sportsmanship. This fun and engaging game also increases our attention span as we pay attention to each role of the color cube. One-to-one correspondence is one of the most challenging early math foundations and this is a way to reinforce the concept visually and pragmatically.
