Welcome back to our 2022-2023 school year. We are so blessed to be back to our regular drop off and pick up at school. The children had some tears, laughter and some not so sure what is going on these few days, but over all it was a good few days.

Welcome back to our 2022-2023 school year. We are so blessed to be back to our regular drop off and pick up at school. The children had some tears, laughter and some not so sure what is going on these few days, but over all it was a good few days.

We are off to a great start! Your little ones are enjoying everything preschool has to offer! We would like to invite you to participate in a volunteer opportunity.
PATIO FUNDRAISER:
Older Pod Patio is fundraising to purchase a beautiful, long-lasting, outdoor sensory table. Community Playthings is the company that built all of the high-quality furniture and equipment that has been with us since the opening of the preschool, 20 years ago. As you know, sensory tables are used to explore a wide range of materials such as water-beads, rice, beans, kinetic sand and so much more. This table will allow us to work on strengthening fine motor muscles by manipulating tweezers/tongs/chopsticks, scooping, pouring, using funnels and developing other practical skills. It will ultimately provide us with hours of enriching, hands-on fun!
This is a great opportunity to complete MVP hours! As part of PCS’ volunteer program, we rely on our Many Valuable Parents (MVP) to enhance and enrich our children’s educational experience. Each PCS family is asked to complete the following hours of service each school year:
Two-Parent Families — 20 Hours
Single Parent Families — 10 Hours
Preschool Families — 10 Hours
(Every $15 = 1 Hour of Service)

If you would like to participate, stop by the Older Pod Patio or the Preschool Office to make a donation. A huge THANK YOU to our first two donors from Room 3!
Thank you for partnering with us!
It is a brand new school year and we are so excited about all of the fun and learning that we are about to embark upon together!
We are a play based environment and we learn through play! Here are some photos of some of that fun/learning.

Thank you guys for such an awesome start to what is shaping up to be a fantastic year!
It has been a fun and joyful summer. We will for sure miss every one of you and your kids. For our last week we read Pete the cat and the perfect pizza party. We made pizza and the kids added their own toppings, we made pizza collage and song “I am aPizza.” Pizza week was grooving.

We had a wonderful time doing interpretive dance with a musical piece from Jon George titled, “Distant Chimes.” During this time, they gave their interpretations of rain, flowers and trees.
Our class enjoyed watching the cause and effect of all the different pumps displayed outside at the big yard. Summer is a time to have fun and enjoy the company of all our friends. We had a blessed and fabulous summer.
We are sad to see our little friends class moving on to new adventures, but at the same time we are very proud of all their growth. We wish your family and the children all the best and pray that their love and knowledge for Jesus expands as they grow.

Thank you God for such a beautiful and fun experience. The children all had a blast during our Pump and Splash event. They really enjoyed running after teachers and splashing them.
We had such a fun week learning the Hawaiian language. We learned about the culture and we tried tropical fruits. We hula danced and did art and had such a great time learning and experiencing another culture.

We will see you next week for the end of summer! Goodbye Hawaii!
Five weeks into summer, Ahoy Mates. We made a Jolly Roger : (The name for the iconic black pirate flag featuring a white skull and crossbones).
Oh, shiver me Timbers the lads are old salt in the sea.

Introducing the kids to the color of the American flag, We decorated the dramatic area with flags, red and blue Pompoms, leis, head bands and fans. We made red and blue paper fans to take home and a flag collage. We also listen to the Star Spangle Banner, some marching songs. To end the week we watched Disney’s 4th of July fire works special and ate a delicious lunch.
