We had pigs, chickens, goats, ducks, and a goose visiting us at he pre school. Before their visit we read books about farm animals, sang songs and watch animal videos on YouTube. Having the real thing here at PCS was a treat.

Happy Stone Soup days!
We had a wonderful time celebrating God’ gifts to us through our Stone Soup days! We began our days having wonderful parent volunteers come and read our story Fox Tale Soup. We then had fun filling in what we are thankful for on our craft! We also worked hard using our fine motor skills to cut and chop all our veggies for our soup! During our outside play time, our soup cooked and cooked, and at lunch we tried it and we LOVED it! Yum!
Thank you to our amazing parent helpers who came and helped assist in the festivities and those who brought ingredients to share! You made thus year a success!

Farm Days
Last week we had some special visitors! Animal visitors in fact. Usually this time of the year we go to a farm and this year the farm came to us.
We talked about what animals we might see and what sounds they make. We also made some cool headbands to wear while we pet them.
It was so much fun seeing farm animals and getting to touch them. We ended our farm day by making paper plate animals; pigs and sheep. Some friends made more than one ( you’re welcome!)
THANKSGIVING 2021
Thanksgiving is for giving thanks and being grateful for all that we have. In classroom #4 we are blessed by our kids and their parents.
Stone Soup was a fun and amazing event. It was a special time together shopping vegetables sharing and enjoying each other’s company.

Sensory Soup on the Patio
Happy Thanksgiving from Older Pod Patio! This week we’ve been exploring fall flowers, cranberries, oranges, lemons, leaves and gourds. Check out the beautiful sensory soup we cooked up on our fun and festive Stone Soup days.
Farm Days was a Hit!
We have been learning about animals all month. What a treat to have a visit from a few of our farm favorites! The kiddos got to pet and feed the goats and ducks.

Chicken Coops on the Patio
Leading up to farm days, we’ve been having some fun with “chicken coops” on the older pod patio. Our friends are rolling eggs down the coop, collecting them and packaging them in egg cartons. Check out our little farmers hard at work!
SUNFLOWERS
We planted sunflowers in our garden, we have been caring for them for many weeks. The children always remind us to water them and to make sure there are no bugs eating them.
Oh, Yes! these seeds came from the flowers we planted last year. Our kids were very patient and alert, waiting and waiting for something to happen. It was so exciting for us to hear from some of the kids “ we see something coming out,” and them pointing out to the sprouts that appearing out from the ground. The sunflowers now measure about six to twelve inches tall.
ART STUDIO
Ms. Jen (Silas’s mom) was happy to dedicate her valuable time at our school and make an art project with all the classes in the art studio. Each classroom had a time slop to use the studio and make a special fall art activity. Your little ones enjoyed their time learning new language (squeeze and release), colors and the function of how to use an eye dropper.
