Room 1A Celebrating Valentine’s Day with Heart Waffles

Our Valentine’s Day parties were a success! Our kiddos all enjoyed the delicious treats you all contributed with. Nothing puts a smile on a kid’s face like 2 heart shaped waffles, mixed berries, syrup and powdered sugar. This Valentine’s party was not just about having some sweets and exchanging gifts. We focused on the importance of showing kindness towards others and praying for one another – lots of meaningful discussions this week. Valentine’s Day Party!! 🎉💕🥳

While we are celebrating love all month long we are especially doing so for the next couple of days. We started our day in the yard with an exciting dance party and playing on the structure!

The Floor is Lava is a favorite song for outside.

We had a special snack mix of popcorn, pretzels and raisins as well as grapes and strawberries.

Snack time was so quiet. 😋Mmmm! It was so good!

We played with sparkly play dough that Ms. Sheri made for today and we got to make our own Valentines cards.

We ended our day playing with the post office on the yard.

Today was a busy day and we enjoyed it so much!

Jesus Loves Me Party

Room 2 celebrated Valentine’s Day with our Jesus Loves Me Party! We enjoyed a festive valentine fruit parfait and passed out our valentine cards. Ms. Monica stopped by for a special reading of Love by Eric Carle and passed out cross necklaces to remind us who loves us the most—JESUS!

Chapel – February 2021

February Chapel is always a great time to talk about love and specifically, God’s love.

For this chapel we read 1 John 4:7-13, which discusses how much God loves us and the role we play in sharing God’s love with the world.

Our focus song was G.O.D. is L.O.V.E. based on 1 John 4:8 & 16 and we learned how to spell it out using American sign language.

We also enjoyed reading the book Because God Loves Me! Below you will find the link to Mr. Tim’s YouTube version of the story.

We concluded chapel by brainstorming how we can show love at the preschool. The most popular answers across all the classrooms were…share, give hugs, say “hi”, and give cards.

We are so grateful for the love of God and the ability to share that love with the world.

Fun Times!

We have been enjoying the rain, bubbles and sand! We have also begun exploring the big yard the past couple of weeks and have found so many new things to play!

Snowy Days!

We are so grateful for this amazing experience we had to play in the snow last week! Everyone had such a blast sliding down the hill and throwing snow balls! Enjoy!

Northern Lights Watercolor Painting

The students learned all about the northern lights and even got to watch a real time lapse of the lights. Many of the students commented that it looked like water waves of color in the night sky. So inspired by the real images and colors they saw, they were excited to get painting and make these beautiful night sky’s. -Mrs. Monica, Art Teacher

“SNOW STORM DAY TWO”

Here we are on our second day of snow at PCS. We had so much fun on our second day the kids were pros happy and looking forward to climb up the cliff and slide down on the sled. We had a snowball fight and made a bigger snowman. Hip! Hip! Hooray!
