Chilly but Silly- Room 5 is Back!
We had a long and restful break for Christmas but now we’re back at school with brand new friends and brand new stories to share!
Our two-year-olds jumped right back in to the cozy routine of their classroom and warmly welcomed all our new friends to the Room 5 family! They have been eagerly awaiting their return to the big playground and we all know that two-year-olds are nothing if not tenacious negotiators… these toddlers were NOT going to let a little rain keep them from a good time! So, we layered and buttoned up and headed outside!

The teachers of Room 5 enjoyed their break but we sure missed these little guys!! Everyone is looking forward to a fantastic rest of the year in 2017…. Happy New Year and God Bless.

Room 3 had a lot of fun over the last couple of days before the long break. In celebration of the holidays to come, we had the chance to dress up in our jammies, make some Christmas colored Rice Krispie treats and played with powdered snow! It was an incredibly fun and exciting week and we wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing all of you in 2017 and until then, stay safe and stay warm!
¡Feliz Navidad!
¡Feliz Navidad, Amigos!🎄
WELCOME BACK! We missed you!😊
Can you believe tomorrow is our last day of school before our Winter Break?!🎅🏼
We feel the same!😱
This holiday season has had us so busy and full of activities, and it’s been amazing to have opportunities to spend time together with grandparents, friends, and family! We had such a wonderful day celebrating on Grandparents’ Day!

[Room 2 friends did a great job of making their guests feel so welcomed! We had a precious time together.]
Not to mention, Room 2 and Room 1 joined forces and gave a SPECTACULAR performance over at the big school! We sang “This is What Christmas Means to me,” by Tommy Walker and it was so good! God was praised with full hearts and big smiles all around!(Including tears of joy from their teachers!)

WE ARE SO PROUD!😍
As we learned our song this season, Room 2 has been learning the true meaning of Christmas and why we celebrate; Jesus. He is why. Because He came. Because God kept His promise to the world and sent a Savior. God’s big love for us, and His perfect plan to reconcile us back to Himself, through Jesus’ birth and ultimate death on the cross. That’s what we celebrate on Christmas. That God the Father made a way through His Son, Jesus. “Emmanuel…” God with us. It’s beautiful! We are part of the most beautiful and truest love story that’s ever been. So we sing! We dance! We praise! We rejoice! He is worthy, forever and ever!!✨
We hope that as you spend time with your loved ones this Christmas and New Year, you would be reminded of God’s big love for you, and of what He did for you… He demonstrated to us our value and worth by coming to earth, and dying on a cross 33 years later. We were worth that great sacrifice. And He LIVES!! He rose 3 days later and He is alive! So we REJOICE!! Jesus is ALIVE! And we hope that you feel the nearness of His presence as you share precious moments together with family and friends. These moments are small glimpses of heaven.❤

We love you and are deeply blessed and thankful for each of our Room 2 friends and their families. We can’t wait to see what God has planned for us in 2017, and more than that, we can’t wait to see how God continues to transform and grow our hearts for Him, each other, our loved ones, and the world around us!🌎💕 We love you! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Love,
Miss Wendy💜, Miss Kira💚, and Ms. Daisy💛
Grandparents’ & Grandfriends’ Day❤️
What a great turn out! Our children were so thrilled to see grandmas, grandpas, sisters, abuelitos, abuelitas, Mimas, and nanas coming into their school. Our children are so blessed to have amazing family members and we are filled with happiness to see everyone come together!
Here are some wonderful moments💕:

God is good❤️. Look at all these beautiful and smiley faces😍
Cooking for Christmas
Today in Room 5 we baked gingerbread cookies! We practiced literacy skills as we read the recipe together, math skills as we measured and counted our ingredients, and learned important lessons about science and nature as we manipulated those ingredients to see them transform into gingerbread dough! We counted using one-to-one correspondence as we laid our cookies out on their baking sheet and enjoyed listening to a reading of “The Gingerbread Man” as we gobbled them up with our snack. Yum!
Tree Lighting🎄
The past few days our children have been bringing various ornaments to put up on our Christmas tree. We all looked forward to the day when we would be able to hang them up. The children got a chance to hang up their very own ornament brought from home. After, we turned off all the classroom lights and watched our tree light up!
All of this was followed up with delicious hot chocolate, cookies and marshmallows😋
