Happy Birthday Jesus ( The Sequel)!

We have been decorating our room since the end of the second Stone Soup Day! Ms. Sheri loves Christmas songs and decorations. We have two trees in our class! 😆
We have signs and garland and sparkly lights all over Room 3.

Today we started with our morning meeting where we sang, “We wish you a Merry Christmas”. This has been our morning song all December. After morning meeting we had a snack with a tiny sweet treat. The friends ate them so quickly the teachers couldn’t even get pictures!

We made more gingerbread people and even more Santa hats! (Sorry about all the sparkles! But we love glitter)

We saved our songs until the end of the day and we only had a few friends but we wore our hats and sang one of our Christmas songs.

We decided to do only one song! Santa Claus is coming to town was the winner.

Next week is the last week before the Christmas Break ( December 21st- January 4th) and we have a couple of fun days planned! December 17th and 18th are our PJ & Hot Cocoa Days! We will wear pajamas and watch short holiday movies like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and the original Grinch!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Hello Room 1A parents! Here it is – The moment we have all been waiting for, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS PERFORMANCES! They turned out GREAT! Their wonderful personalities are showcased throughout these videos! We performed Baby Jesus, We Love You and Bethel’s Little Drummer Boy! They practiced so much for these performances, you should all be extremely proud! We know we are! 🙂

There are two videos available!

This video includes our M-W-F friends.
This video includes our T-TH friends.

Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Every year we have a Happy Birthday Jesus party where we celebrate the birth of Jesus and play fun games, make crafts, decorate cookies and sing songs that we have practiced over and over again!

This year is a little different in how we celebrate, but we are still having fun and enjoying this special season with each other.

The first big thing we did was sing the songs we have been practicing as a class. What we actually got on video might be a little different than what we practiced, but it was fun!

This is the song that they love the most! They ask for it even when we play on the yard.
Before we sang this song the class was shown tiny cupcakes they would get as a party treat. Needless to say, we were excited!

Ms. Sheri read to the class during snack time! We talked about Jesus and his birthday and why we celebrate it.

We enjoyed our sweet treat! (We also had our regular snack which were Saltines!)

Ms. Sheri read The Gingerbread Man during Morning Meeting and after snack we made our own Gingerbread people and Santa hats and decorated both with glitter and jewels and googly eyes!

Some of our Gingerbread people!
We colored our hats with our favorite colors.
After nap we wore our hats outside; even when we were riding our bikes.

Even though it wasn’t the same as usual we had a pretty good time!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Our traditional Happy Birthday Jesus celebration looked a little different this year but in no way did we let that shift our focus from the reason for the season.

In Room 2, we dressed up in our Christmas festive best, sang happy birthday, baked cupcakes and enjoyed a special pizza lunch.

As we head into this season of giving, we remember that God has given us the most special gift, his son Jesus, to be the light of the world. Here’s a glimpse into our fun and festive day celebrating our savior, our king–our friend Jesus!

“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Stone Soup Days

Hello Room 1A families! We wanted to share these memories with you! We had two wonderful Stone Soup days! Stone Soup is all about understanding the importance of sharing and community. We strive to teach our students to be selfless and kind. It’s all about coming together as a team to accomplish our goals! They loved helping to make the soup. They shredded chicken, cut celery and carrots, watched the soup cook and, the best part, enjoyed the soup for lunch! We hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them! Thank you to everyone who brought their Stone Soup items and the Tavey Family for donating the cutest Thanksgiving bowls!

Happy Thanksgiving

As we reflect today on all the wonderful blessings we have in our lives we give thanks to God for every single one of them. I am so very thankful for each and every one of you and your beautiful children and I thank God for bring you into my life.

“THANK YOU GOD”

Here we are making a fall wreath and Practicing fine motor skills, they are peeling the paper off the sticker and placing fall items on the paper plate an simple, and easy activity that will help good practice and strengthen the young children’s hand a skill used in pre- writing skills.

The things that class 4 said they were thankful for. They brought tears to our eyes. We asked each child; Why are you thankful for? Penelope, Carter and Charles, “I am thankful for my mommy.” Caden, “I am thankful for my sister, mommy and daddy.” Eden,”I am thankful for my daddy bring me to school.” Evelyn,“ I am thankful for my teacher.” Isaiah,“I am thankful for my sister in mommy’s tummy.” JulietteI am thankful for my family.” Lucas, “I am thankful for soup.” Rune, “I am thankful for the trees.” Even at this age they are capturing what a blessing it is to have Jesus in their life.
